 <title>Where&#039;s USB 3.0?</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/hardware/79217/wheres-usb-30</link>
<description>It seems as if we&#039;ve been writing about USB 3.0 forever, but it has really been only about two years since Intel and other parties formed a promotional group for USB 3.0 in 2007. Well, that statement turned out to be almost right: Devices are coming very soon, but the glut won&#039;t be until next year.

 <link>http://www.itworld.com/small-business/58848/really-useful-personal-data-storage-gift-idea</link>
<description>eWeek put out a slide show last week on “personal data storage gift ideas.” This was a thinly disguised ad for a variety of USB-based backup hard drives. At first I was going to link to the story, but decided to instead highlight some really useful backup gifts. A USB drive for backing up your files is better than nothing, but not good enough. Giving a year of online backup service will provide much better protection for your friend or family member.
