<title>California cell phone law snares First Lady</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/mobile-amp-wireless/81313/california-cell-phone-law-snares-first-lady</link>
<description>California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has promoted a new law banning talking on a cell phone while driving as an important safety measure, so it was obviously something of an embarrassment when his wife was spotted driving and chatting into a handset -- but not perhaps for the reasons you might think.

<description>San Diego-based Kempler &amp;amp; Strauss this morning rolled out an incredible $199 wristwatch cell phone called the W PhoneWatch. The gadget sports a calendar, address book, a calculator, stopwatch, a vibration mode for silent alarms, a no-stylus touch screen, microSD slot and the ability to both take and play pictures and videos. <title>Garmin nuvifone to be released on Oct. 4</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/79233/garmin-nuvifone-be-released-oct-4</link>
<description>When first we heard of Garmin&#039;s nüvifone (if it&#039;s got an umlaut, it has to be good, right?), it was in the cold winter days of February 2008 and the device was supposed to ship in the third quarter of that year. Fast forward to Tuesday, when Garmin announced the device would finally arrive in the U.S. on October 4 as an AT&amp;amp;T exclusive. Oh well, close enough for government work.
