 <title>Sony&#039;s Daily Edition e-reader launches with a premium price</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/85327/sonys-daily-edition-e-reader-launches-a-premium-price</link>
<description>Sony has begun taking pre-orders for its top of the line e-reader, and they&#039;re sticking to the price point announced back in August before their competitors launched or cut prices. Is the Daily Reader that much more capable, or are we being asked to pay a &quot;Sony Tax&quot;?

<title>Amazon matches BN eReader with Kindle for PC </title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/82137/amazon-matches-bn-ereader-kindle-pc</link>
<description>Barnes &amp;amp; Noble&#039;s e-book system has one feature Amazon doesn&#039;t: a software e-reader that runs on PCs. But yesterday Amazon announced Kindle for PC, so now both sides will have a software solution that no one wants (yet). Also, Kindle US version is gone, and the Nook&#039;s book lending feature is crippled.

<description>Lots of confusion in the tech blogs yesterday as the Wall Street Journal reports on a new B&amp;amp;N branded e-reader that may or may not be the Plastic Logic device we&#039;ve known about since last spring. A video from CTIA adds to the confusion by suggesting a color device is in the works.

 <title>E-readers: Beyond the hardware</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/79189/e-readers-beyond-hardware</link>
<description>We&#039;re getting to the point where the feature sets of e-readers are starting to blur together. So in the future what will differentiate a Kindle from a Sony Reader from an iRex? The ultimate question becomes: Got anything to read?
