The Army spent billions on a real-time intel analysis system that can't even search its own map. The $2 million, PS3-based Air Force supercomputer is helping unravel mysteries of space-time (we won't mention Sony tried to keep the Air Force from building it; that wouldn't be fair.)

The Air Force got an exemption, but Sony is suing those it can find using the Linux OS it built into PS3s; some ticked-off users are suing it right back.

Sony is pretty annoyed with those hooligans hacking its beloved PlayStation 3. So annoyed, in fact, that they've involved law enforcement: On February 23, PS3 and Linux hacker graf_chokolo said the local police and a Sony representative raided his house.

Oh, Sony. Hot off the heels of Sony's lawsuit against a band of PlayStation 3 jailbreakers, a Sony-operated Twitter account retweeted the PS3 unlock code. Um, oops.

There's not much point to storing game console save files in the cloud, unless you're planning to play the same game on several devices...

A moment of silence for Sony's PlayStation 3, which on Sunday was reportedly stripped of its final defenses, including the linchpin security keys used to authenticate legitimate applications--and repulse illegitimate ones.

There're only a few more shopping weeks left in this holiday season and Microsoft and Sony are fighting tooth and nail to convince the world that theirs is the 'hot' video game peripheral for this year.

Streaming movie service VUDU is coming to the PS3 (with HD movies and 5.1 surround sound) next week! Also another PSP2 leak crops up, and this one includes pictures!

Disk-free Netflix on the Playstation 3 was expected, but ditching the disk on the Wii was a pleasant surprise yesterday. Much couch-surfing was done while testing both platforms last night. Bottom line? Netflix Streaming is pretty great no matter what device you use to access it, but HD & Dolby 5.1 give the PS3 the lead for now.

Some would say that Halloween is not a techie-type holiday. To those people I, and the creative (read: demented) makers of these gadgets, say "Boo!"

This weekend was spent off the couch but still playing games for many Playstation 3 fans, as the Move hit retail stores on Friday. I've joined the ranks of those suffering from Playshoulder (sore arms from playing too much) and am ready to report my findings!

Netflix streaming on the PS3 got a stealthy update yesterday, adding a search feature similar to, but somewhat better than, that on the Roku.
