<title>PS3 Facebook firmware confirmed on eve of Xbox Fall Update launch</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/85008/ps3-facebook-firmware-confirmed-eve-xbox-fall-update-launch</link>
<description>Last night Sony confirmed the &#039;Facebook on PS3&#039; rumors that have been circulating, but Sony doesn&#039;t intend to replace their browser with a dedicated Facebook viewing tool. The new firmware launch date is a vague &#039;coming soon&#039; but it was a good marketing ploy to reveal this news just as Microsoft was rolling out its Fall Update (including Facebook integration) to all users.

<description>Last Friday Sony PS3 owners received their Instant Streaming Discs. Over the weekend I put the service through its paces, spending a grueling amount of time watching TV. I make these sacrifices for you, dear reader.

 <title>Sony introduces 250 GB PS3, confusion</title>
 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/81259/sony-introduces-250-gb-ps3-confusion</link>
<description>Sony recently simplified and cost-reduced its product line to a single reasonably priced SKU. Now they&#039;re reversing the trend by introducing a second SKU which is, once again, the highest priced stand alone gaming console on the market. Why, Sony?

 <link>http://www.itworld.com/personal-tech/75387/xbox-360-most-expensive-console-marketfor-now</link>
<description>The PS3 price drop left the Xbox 360 Elite model in the unenviable position of being the most expensive video game console on the market. How long will Microsoft let that stand? Not very long, if a handful of very solid leaks turn out to be accurate.
