    Chinese authorities have blocked Apple's iTunes Music Store, apparently because 'more than 40' athletes have listened to protest songs by bands such as Rush and Alanis Morissette.

    Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) will start sales of Apple's iPhone 3G handset at midnight tonight local time but users who buy the phones won't get support for visual voicemail or access to videos and music sold on the iTunes Store. "On launch, customers will not be able to buy content from the iTunes store. However, they will be able to buy applications from the Apple application store," SingTel said, adding that visual voicemail will not be offered in Singapore.

    Apple Inc. installed a control panel applet for its MobileMe online sync and storage service on Windows XP and Windows Vista systems when they were updated to iTunes 7.7 -- the second time this year that it's bundled new software with an update for an existing program.
