    If having to pay $7+ per gigabyte for secure flash drives makes you blanch, take a look at the Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 Secure Hard Drive. At only $200 for 750GB—which translates to about 4GB per $1—and PIN-pad security, it's a lot more affordable than secure flash drives. Plus, the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Secure Hard Drive is faster than the USB flash drives, most of which are USB 2.0. As a 2.5-inch hard drive it's not as portable or rugged as the flash drives , but it's where you go if you need the capacity.

    Back in May, Lenovo indicated that the company was working on a ThinkPad tablet running Windows 8. Details were sparse, though--all we knew at the time was that the tablet would have an Intel processor and tie into a cloud service Lenovo is building.

    Fans of the classic ThinkPad won't be disappointed with the X230. It's the X series ultraportable laptop you love with the same rugged styling and construction, eraserhead cursor control, and comfortable keyboard--with a few innovations. The X230 will never be an avatar for thin and sexy, however. If that's what you seek, look elsewhere (toward Lenovo's U-series, for example).

    Lenovo is adding to its ThinkPad lineup this summer with a dual-core, single-panel tablet running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), according to online rumors. According to Web reports the device wil sport an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core chip, 10.1-inch display with 1280-by-800 resolution, front- and rear-facing cameras, full-size USB 2.0 port, micro USB port, 3-in-1 SD card reader, mini HDMI, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. The device would reportedly weigh 1.57 pounds, come in 16, 32, and 64 GB storage flavors, and pricing would start at $500, according to a slide deck obtained by This Is My Next, a new site run by a team of Engadget alumni.
