Not smart
It would have been smarter, just to take ten and then take his time in returning them ... no late fees.
Excellent PR.
Paris was a master at generating her own publicity. She did well and is clearly her own 'brand'. I would be looking elsewhere for a VCE tutor or a Violin teacher, but after her single (which was not too bad), I would hire her for singing lessons
Has anyone seen this in action?
I have been using Speech Recognition Software for a while and it is a great thing. But, it still gets things wrong and I have to correct things. These mistakes are even after I have 'trained' the software. I am fascinated that if Cisco have fixed this area and added the translation function. Looking forward to seeing it, but for now I will have to use our Legal Interpreter and our Melbourne translation company.
Great news
The rapid improvement in translation software is great news. It is particularly a good achievement for Google to put it into Gmail. I look forward to testing it. However, with many of these translation software solutions they still cannot be relied upon for an accurate translation. We use the software to understand the general meaning, but when we have meetings we get a real intepreter and when we require a legal document translation. I will go and review the software and let you all know what I think.
localisation is hot
Good article. Search and website localisation are both hot in 2009. Google have got it that relevance does include geography. Business owners have got it that a website must cater for local cultures and requirements.

Boom Box or Thunder Dome
In Australia, we colloquially call the toilet various things. It brings to mind a number of them. Boom box or thunder dome. Anyone else with any other interpretation?
