Vince is the Chief Information Officer at the University of Kentucky, one of the nation's top public research institutions. Prior to joining University of Kentucky, Vince was the Vice President of Information Services (CIO) at DePaul University, the eighth largest private, nonprofit university in the US. Vince is also a Senior Consultant with Cutter Consortium, a highly-regarded IT industry think-tank.

Vince has a background in consulting and entrepreneurship, having served as a partner leading the CRM Strategy practice with marchFIRST and as the Vice President of customer knowledge management and analytics for Scient and as a principal for a wireless collaboration product start-up. Vince has helped a variety of large and mid-sized companies including Exxon, 20th Century Fox, S.C. Johnson, General Mills, Appleton Papers, R.R. Donnelley, Household Finance, Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Co., Hammacher-Schlemmer, and Abbott Laboratories in the areas of e-commerce, data warehousing, and CRM strategy. Vince is spoken at national and international conferences on business and IT strategies, IT organizational development and other technology issues. Vince also authored four books on database technologies which were published by Que, New Riders and M&T Press.

Vince’s interest areas focus on business and IT strategy, IT organizational development and IT leadership.

Vince is a member of the CIO Executive Council.
