Kinect game will let you wave a wand like Harry Potter

Video trailer shows motion-controlled Quidditch and spell-casting

Harry Potter fans, rejoice! Your dreams of being able to wave a wand in front of your TV set and Xbox Kinect video game accessory will soon be a reality. Here's the trailer for the Harry Potter Kinect game, which utilizes the Kinect motion-control unit to let players wave wants, fly a broomstick and even use your face to make you into a member of Hogwarts.

With my luck, I'll get chosen to be in Hufflepuff.

While I'm a fan of the Harry Potter movies, the games (other than the Lego variety) have been somewhat disappointing. Like the Kinect Star Wars game, there was a bunch of hype, but in the end we got a big Star Wars dancing game. Here's hoping that the Harry Potter crew doesn't end up dancing in the middle of Hogwarts to a Lady Gaga song.
