June 25, 2012, 9:48 AM — You have to hand it to NASA's headline writer on this video: "Challenges of Getting to Mars: Curiosity's Seven Minutes of Terror" is certainly clickable just based on that description. In this video that has become popular on the Internet over the weekend, NASA scientists discuss "the Challenges of Curiosity's final minutes to landing on the surface of Mars."
Sure, the "DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNN" music is a bit much, but you have to respect the amount of scientific know-how required to make this a reality. We'll all find out on Aug. 5, when the Curiosity is scheduled to land on Mars.
