October 10, 2012, 9:36 AM — In case you were confused about what the Nobel Prize winners for physics had actually done to deserve their award, the brilliant MinutePhysics YouTube channel has provided a 2-minute, 35-second animation discussing the ideas for which they won.

Basically, the winners discovered a way to measure a photon of light without the photon getting absorbed. There's even some fun stuff about Schrodinger's cat, our favorite physics cat ever.
