Just got this last week preloaded. When I added my wife as a user for her home office. It started to not recognize my admin password. Had to reboot computer which would kick us both off. HP support had me do PC refresh lost some preloaded programs and such. Worked for about 2hrs.

Run it in a virtual machine, dual boot with Windows 7, or do a full install?

I'm a fan of anime and have quite a few dvds of it, some of which a buddy of mine in the marines got for me when he was stationed in Japan. I have a desktop at home running Windows 7. When I tried to watch them on my desktop, Media Player would tell me they are region locked and that I needed to switch to region 2. Ok, no biggie.

i installed windows 8 after i had a problem booting. After booting the change pc settings that helps to customize the windows doesnt fuction. when i click on it it goes back to the start button. i have tried the msconfig method but to no avail. Any help please

I recently migrated to windows-8 on my laptop. I suddenly seem to have lost: 1. The Start Grid on the bottom left corner of the screen, and 2. The menu that appears when you drag the mouse to the bottom right of the screen. Please help.

Hi, Today I added a new User, my wife (I know a big mistake :-) ), since then if I am logged in with my Microsoft-Account the Apps won't start anymore, except the Windows-Store. But if my wife is logged in, all the apps are starting proberly. I can't see the problem...anybody..please.... help me!! :-) thanks, andy

Microsoft has supported XP for ever. At least it seems like forever. Does anyone know how long Windows 7 will be continue to be supported?

How do you like Microsoft's new corporate logo?  It is weird to see a corporate logo change, especially one that I have looked at daily for pretty much my entire adult life when I've started up my PC.  I mean, think about Coke changing it's logo, or Ford.  It would be weird, at least to me.

I want a detail report on the biggest problems associated with Windows 8?

WIth Windows XP, I was able to use nlite to create a custom install cd with adobe reader and a few other programs installed with the fresh copy. And since nlite doesn't support Windows 7, does any one know a good solution?
