Trailer for iSteve hits the InterWeb

Funny or Die's Steve Jobs film releases teaser clip

OK, so we've got three movies coming out highlighting the life of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. The first one, "Jobs", featuring Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs, debuted at the Sundance Film Festival but then they delayed the wide release, which was supposed to be sometime this month (the film currently has a 43% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes)

Today, we get a teaser trailer for iSteve, a Funny or Die film featuring Justin Long, the actor who played the "Mac" in those funny Apple "Mac vs. PC" ads. The teaser trailer features a lot of imagery and Long speaking as Jobs, but only a brief glimpse of what Long looks like as Jobs.

Meanwhile, not much news on the third film, "Steve Jobs", which will be written by Aaron Sorkin (based on the Walter Isaacson biography), who helped make Mark Zuckerberg look interesting in "The Social Network" movie. It's interesting to watch these Jobs' movies develop - while Jobs' life was definitely interesting (and parts have already been documented in films before), filmmakers need to tread a line to make sure they don't irritate the throngs of Apple fans that can make or break their films. But on the other hand, if these films are so glowing in praise about Jobs, people will call them phony.

What are your thoughts on the Jobs movies? Do you plan on seeing any of them? Let me know in the comments.
